Welcome to Dnyaan Prasad Global University by Dr. D. Y. Patil Group, Pimpri Campus. We are delighted to have you join our diverse academic community. If you are planning to study in India, the following information will help you prepare for a smooth and comfortable journey.

01

Get Your Student Visa Ready

Before you travel, ensure that you have obtained a valid Student Visa from the Indian Embassy or High Commission. You should check that your passport still has sufficient validity remaining and that all the visa information is accurate. Take copies of both your passport and visa with you.

02

Plan Your Travel to Pune

Book your travel to Pune International Airport (PNQ), the nearest major airport to the DPGU Pimpri Campus. Travel time from the airport to campus can vary with traffic, so plan your onward journey accordingly.

03

Tell DPGU When You Are Arriving

Share your travel itinerary and complete flight details with the Office of International Affairs (OIA) Support Team well in advance. This helps us guide you on arrival and accommodation arrangements. Where airport pick-up is available, submit your request within the timeline shared by the University. App-based taxis and other authorized transport options are also generally available at the airport.

04

Carry These Documents in Your Hand Luggage

  • Valid passport and Student Visa
  • DPGU Admission/Offer Letter
  • Academic certificates and mark sheets/transcripts
  • Degree certificates, wherever applicable
  • Proof of fee payment, if applicable
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Any other documents requested by the University or Indian immigration authorities

It is strongly recommended to carry both the original documents and photocopies/scanned digital copies for your records and admission formalities.

05

Health and Vaccination

Before travelling, consult an authorized medical practitioner or your country's travel health authority about any recommended vaccinations. If you are on ongoing medical treatment, carry your prescriptions, relevant medical reports, and an adequate initial supply of your medicines. Please also check India's regulations on carrying medicines before you travel.

06

Arrange Your Funds Safely

When you arrive, make plans regarding your first expenses. Although international debit or credit cards are accepted at many places in India, it is advisable to have some funds available via legal and authorized banking or foreign exchange methods. For any currency exchange or banking requirements, you should use only authorized banks or recognized foreign exchange providers.
