An alumnus of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Dr. Patil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, an LLB, an MBA from Regis University, Colorado, USA, and a Ph.D. in Management. His academic journey reflects a rare combination of technical expertise, legal acumen, and business insight.

A former Senate and Management Council member of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Dr. Patil is also Director of Rise N Shine Biotech Pvt. Ltd., a pioneering venture in plant biotechnology. Under his leadership, several initiatives across education, health, and innovation have flourished with remarkable impact.

Dr. Patil has been at the forefront of technological transformation in the educational and healthcare domains. Recognizing the significance of digitization early, he spearheaded the development and implementation of custom ERP and Health Information Systems within DPU institutions. This strategic initiative enhanced transparency, operational efficiency, research capability, and decision-making processes.

A strong advocate of entrepreneurial thinking and skill development, Dr. Patil established the DPU Foundation for Innovation and Incubation, nurturing a vibrant ecosystem for startups, patents, and research commercialization. He holds three international and two Indian patents, and has authored books on marketing strategy and management cases, alongside publishing research papers in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals.

His passion for education is matched by his commitment to environmental sustainability, inclusive leadership, and youth empowerment. With a deep love for reading and travel, Dr. Patil draws inspiration from diverse experiences, which he channels into building institutions that are responsive to the needs of society and the future.
