Introduction:

The Internal Committee at Dnyaan Prasad Global University has been established in accordance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Committee is entrusted with the responsibility of receiving complaints related to sexual harassment and ensuring their prompt and impartial inquiry within the prescribed timeframe.

The Committee is committed to fostering a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all students, employees, and visitors of the University. It actively works to prevent incidents of sexual harassment, extend support and guidance to affected individuals, and ensure that every case is handled with sensitivity, confidentiality, and fairness in accordance with due process.

Objectives of the Internal Committee:

  • Prevention and Awareness: To promote a safe, inclusive, and gender-sensitive environment within the University through awareness programs, sensitization workshops, and preventive measures against sexual harassment.
  • Protection and Redressal: To ensure protection to all members of the University community from sexual harassment at the workplace, and to provide a fair, prompt, and confidential mechanism for redressal of complaints.
  • Support and Guidance: To offer emotional, psychological, and procedural support to complainants and to ensure that they are not subjected to any form of victimization or discrimination.
  • Compliance and Monitoring: To ensure adherence to the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and related UGC regulations, through proper implementation, reporting, and monitoring.
  • Equity and Dignity: To uphold the principles of equality, respect, and dignity for all, ensuring that the University remains a safe and empowering space for teaching, learning, and work.

How to File a Complaint

If you have experienced or witnessed any form of harassment, discrimination, or misconduct, you can file a complaint with the Internal Complaint Committee. The process is confidential and designed to protect all parties involved.

Steps to File a Complaint

Follow these steps to register your complaint with the ICC.

  1. Step 1: Submission of Complaint Log in to the University ERP portal and complete the Internal Complaint Form with accurate details of the incident(s).
  2. Step 2: Timely Submission Submit the completed form to the Internal Committee within three (3) months from the date of the incident or from the last occurrence in case of a continuing offence.
  3. Step 3: Acknowledgement of ReceiptThe Committee will acknowledge receipt of the complaint within seven (7) days and initiate the inquiry process.
  4. Step 4: Inquiry ProcessA fair and impartial inquiry will be conducted, and efforts will be made to complete the process within ninety (90) days from the receipt of the complaint.
  5. Step 5: Action and ResolutionBased on the findings of the inquiry, the Internal Committee will recommend appropriate action to the competent authority for implementation.
